We provide exceptional opportunities for research and collaboration with faculty in the Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences Department. Recent professor-student research topics include:

• Eye tracking to measure language processing of people with Aphasia
• Hearing screening access for special populations
• Social media effectiveness for communicating to the public about communication disorders
• Financial literacy of audiologists working in private practice
• Caregiver and SLP knowledge of Gestalt Language
• The current state of Educational Audiology training programs
• Description of the speech and language profile of individuals with rare genetic disorders

The WSU Speech-Language-Hearing Center serves those in the greater Worcester community who face a vast array of communication disorders and differences. Through the Center, you’ll have a unique opportunity to synthesize what you’ve learned in your undergraduate classes. If you’re a graduate speech-language pathology student, you will gain practical experience delivering evaluation and intervention services that maximize the communicative competence of clients. These opportunities to observe and be involved in direct patient care will build your confidence and allow you to put your education into action.
