Abatement work in the LRC and Student Center has been completed. Concrete work in Chandler Village is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 26. Work on the LRC sidewalk will begin once Chandler Village is complete at a date yet to be determined.

Please observe all posted signs and exercise caution in active construction zones.

Ostrow electrical work inside the LRC, Student Center, and vault is complete.

Containment is in place for abatement work on the tile floor in the LRC electrical room.

Work on the Dowden/Chandler Village courtyard will begin in late July.

Please exercise caution and observe posted instructions in active work zones.

Construction Update Week of 6/6

Interior electrical conduit work will continue in the Learning Resource Center (LRC) throughout the week. Bollards will be installed outside Waslayean Hall and Sullivan, and digging will commence outside the LRC.

Construction Work Resumes

Electrical work has resumed in the Learning Resource Center and Student Center.

The week of May 30, conduits will be installed in LRC 114 and LRC 104B. In the Student Center, door replacement work is ongoing. Please exercise caution in marked work areas and follow all posted instructions.

Heavy Construction Complete until Spring

The university is pleased to report that the bulk of heavy construction activity has now been completed for the winter, and will not resume again until spring 2022. There may be occasional small-scale outdoor projects in the interim, though not significant enough to disrupt traffic flows on campus.

As a reminder, the campus community is asked to respect construction signs and/or barricades and not to move, remove or obstruct their view.

Parking Closures due to Campus Paving

On Friday October 8 through Monday October 11 there will be multiple parking spot closures due to paving in a number of locations around the university. (Rain dates for paving will be Friday October 22, and Saturday October 23.)

Friday 10/8 – Morning of Monday October 11:

Lot A / Dowden Hall Parking Lot will be closed
Lot G / Parking between the Resource Center & Student Center will be closed

Friday 10/8:

Parking behind the Sullivan Academic Center will be limited
4 spots in the Administration lot will be closed off

Saturday 10/9 – Morning of Monday October 11:

Lot B / Wasylean Parking Lot will be closed

Updates for week of Aug. 1 – 9, 2021

Starting August 1 through August 8, Wasylean parking lot (Lot B) will be offline except for emergency and campus police vehicular traffic.

Starting August 2 through August 21, there will be no parking along the LRC/Student Center roadway. Deliveries to the Student Center and LRC loading docks will be restricted to box trucks only.

Starting August 9, Wasylean parking lot will operate at 50% capacity and be available for student move-in purposes.

NOTE: Lot B will be made available for the Sheehan Hall event from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 4.
